The Golden Eagles Dance Team is the official dance team of the Boston College Marching Band, performing at football games and high-profile events in Boston and beyond. Our styles include pom, high kick, jazz, and contemporary.

What sets us apart:
The Golden Eagles are a fixture at Boston College football games, performing alongside the "Screaming Eagles" Marching Band to create an electric atmosphere at Alumni Stadium.听We welcome dancers from a variety of backgrounds including cheer and gymnastics.

Schedule
Rehearsals
In the fall, rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45鈥�10:00 p.m.听Spring rehearsals are determined based on ensemble availability for an average of 6 hours per week.
Fall performances
During the fall season, the Golden Eagles perform at all home football games, post-season bowl games, and high-profile events throughout the city of Boston and beyond! The fall also includes a performance in BC鈥檚 Week of Dance.
The Golden Eagles also attend the Marching Band鈥檚 pre-season camp in late August and participate in all Marching Band events and performances.
Spring performances
During the spring season, the Golden Eagles perform in a range of campus dance events including ALC Showdown and the Arts Festival.听

Auditions
Submit your audition as soon as possible for the 2024-25 season. Positions are awarded to skilled dancers on a first-come, first-served basis.
Any incoming or current student at Boston College can audition! We come from a variety of backgrounds, including cheer, kickline, and gymnastics. Through the Marching Band鈥檚 Partner School Program, the Golden Eagles also welcome students from all Boston-area universities. See the Partner School's tab on the Marching Band page to learn more.
Audition Requirements
Auditions for the 2024 Golden Eagles consist of two components:听
- Individual Video Submission
- Individual Callback Audition over Zoom
Candidates are welcome to participate in one of three audition cycles:
Session 1
- (April) Video Submission Deadline:Saturday, April 6th
- Video Review Decisions: Monday, April 8th
- Callbacks: April 13th - 21st
Session 2
- (May) Video Submission Deadline: Saturday, May 4th
- Video Review Decisions: Monday, May 6th
- Callbacks: May 11th - 19th
Session 3
- (June) Video Submission Deadline: Saturday, June 1st听
- Video Review Decisions: Monday, June 3rd
- Callbacks: June 8th - 16th
All submissions will be reviewed by a panel including the Golden Eagles Dance Instructors and Section Leaders. Audition criteria include: (1) confidence, (2) performance projection, (3) overall technique, (4) transition precision, (5) timing, and (6) choreography accuracy.听
Please wear appropriate athletic attire. Form-fitting black tops and black leggings or shorts are recommended.听
